PE stands for Polyethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material widely used in the production of PE tarpaulin.PE features the following characteristics:odorless, non-toxic, with a wax-like texture, excellent low-temperature resistance, low water absorption, and great electrical insulation. It can operate normally at temperatures ranging from -70°C to -100°C and offers strong chemical stability.Most PE tarpaulin is manufactured using HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), which provides high heat resistance, hardness, mechanical strength, and chemical corrosion resistance. Polyethylene can be processed via blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion to produce rigid products such as containers, nets, packaging straps, cable coatings, pipes, profiles, and sheets.PE tarpaulin typically consists of woven PE fabric laminated with PE film on both sides; some products use polypropylene woven fabric.Production process: yarn drawing → circular weaving → double-sided lamination.

This type of tarpaulin has limited waterproof performance, which may weaken after single use. It is lightweight, clean, and eco-friendly but prone to abrasion. It is mainly used for temporary cargo coverage, rain protection, and dustproofing, and is not recommended for long-term outdoor use.
PVC Tarpaulin
PVC tarpaulin is a coated waterproof fabric made from high-strength polyester canvas coated with PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) paste resin, blended with plasticizers, mildew inhibitors, anti-aging agents, antistatic agents, and other additives, then processed under high temperature.It offers outstanding performance in waterproofing, mildew resistance, cold resistance, aging resistance, and antistatic properties. Its breaking strength, tear elongation, and tearing strength are far superior to traditional tarpaulins. The surface is bright, colorful, and aesthetically pleasing, with anti-slip performance after special surface treatment.PVC tarpaulin is available in large widths, reducing the need for seams. It can be joined by heat sealing, eliminating water leakage through needle holes. Products can be customized with different functions, colors, and thicknesses to meet client requirements.Made from polyester filament fabric double-coated with PVC paste resin, PVC tarpaulin achieves excellent waterproof performance as the PVC paste fully penetrates and seals fabric gaps during the dipping process.Production process: yarn drawing → dipping → coating → drying & setting → calendaring & cooling → winding.
